Notable Books: MISS BENNET

At Central Library from 3:00-4:30 on Sunday, November 26th, Notable Books teams up with Capital Stage to offer a special program previewing MISS BENNET: CHRISTMAS AT PEMBERLEY, Capital Stage’s holiday production, which opens December 6th. The play takes place two years after Pride and Prejudice ends. The “Miss Bennet” of the title is Mary, the oldest sister still living at home. Professor David Bell will begin by discussing the relation between Austen’s novel and the play. Then cast members will perform scenes from the play. Afterwards, David will lead a panel discussion with director Peter Mohrmann and his actors, during which they will take questions from the audience.

Central Library is located at 828 I Street. Admission is free, as is on-street parking.
