UPCOMING CLASSES:

Improv I with Katie Rubin

What IS Improv? How does it work? How do you make things funny, in the moment, on stage, with zero preparation? How do you remain calm under the pressure of that? Is there a science to the craft of improvising? How do you get from being a brand new improviser to being skilled at the craft of it? How do you move from being a relatively practiced Improviser to being a Master of the Game? These are the questions Katie Rubin will answer for you during this 10 week Improv Class at Capital Stage! In this interactive, bound-to-be-hilarious-and-very-fun class, you will learn the “rules of improv” by embodying them. The good news is, there ARE some rules. The BETTER news is, if you apply them skillfully, you won’t be able to AVOID creating an excellent Improv show, and having a BLAST while you do it. In short, you will laugh a lot during this class. And you will leave this class as a SOLID improviser. Congratulations! You’ve done half the work already just by signing up! Learn more about our Teaching Artists.

Class Times: Mondays, June 19 – August 14, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Tuition: $260
